BRANDON BAY IRELAND CAMP 2026

BRANDON BAY IRELAND

CAMP 2026

DATES: 14 – 19th of September 2026

After three great years of camps from 2023 to 2025, we are back in Brandon Bay for 2026. We continue with the same concept and the same coaches, taking advantage of the warmer September temperatures and the first autumn storms.

HOW WILL IT WORK

We utilize a 5 days out of a 6-day holding period concept. This allows us to choose the best five days of the week based on the forecast for both on-land and on-water coaching to maximize everyone's potential.

ENTRY LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

To join this camp, you should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Good waterstarts, harness, and footstraps.
  • Sailing upwind and downwind without problems.
  • Decent jibing (it does not need to be a planing jibe).
  • Basic wave sailing experience.
  • A high level of motivation and energy to improve your skills.

PRICING & GROUP SIZE

  • Coaching Price: Starts at 600€ euro (includes an event T-shirt).
  • Limited Spaces: The group is limited  to 12 persons.

YOUR Co- COACH: FINN MELLON

Born and raised in Brandon Bay, Finn Mellon is an Irish Wave Champion and a true wave addict. Whether on windsurf gear, a surfboard, or a tow-in board, Finn's local knowledge is unmatched. Having coaching experience from Club Vass, Finn serves as our top pick for an additional coach and local scout to ensure we find the best unique experiences in the bay.

ACCOMODATION

Our base camp for this clinic is the Jamie Knox headquarters on the east side of the bay. This unique housing option allows participants to stay together under one roof.

  • Private room: 350 euro/week.
  • Shared room: 250 euro/person/week.

TRAVEL & LOGISTICS

This is a remote camp, meaning we will move to different spots depending on the forecast. Participants are required to bring their own windsurfing gear.

  • Van Rental: If you are flying, it is highly recommended to rent a van at the airport, as they are often cheaper than cars and can fit up to three people with gear.
  • By Airplane:
    • Kerry Airport: The closest option, just 35 minutes away.
    • Cork Airport: 2-hour drive.
    • Shannon Airport: 3-hour drive.
    • Dublin Airport: 4.5-hour drive.
  • By Ferry: You can take the ferry to Cork (2-hour drive to the bay) or Rosslare (4.5-hour drive).

WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS SAY

"The camp was perfect! ... The coaching was on a really high level, both on the water and through detailed video debriefs, which made a huge difference in my progression"

"Dieter and Finn always picked great spots to sail and were super supportive instructors. My level was not quite as high as everyone else... but D & F were incredibly supportive and welcoming, ensuring I felt comfortable and helped me grow my skills".

"I liked that we were in a group with more or less the same level. This helped to learn also from others... I liked a lot the technical debriefings, they already helped me on day 1".
