IT’S TIME TO GO GREECE – it’s time to go Prasonisi!
From the 9th – 13th of September we will be going to one of Greece most famous & wind reliable spots on the beautiful island of Rhodes, Prasonisi!
With my aim to bring my coaching to some of the best places around the world I’m extremely excited to announce this iconic destination on my calendar.
Boardshort weather, consistent trade winds (Meltemi) and the choice between butter flat water & some open sea waves makes it one of the dream locations for windsurfing in Europe!
It will allow progress for all levels with ideal conditions & accessibility for different levels. For 2024 for this reason I will be opening the camp to both intermediates as aspiring Freestyle sailors who are looking to take their windsurfing together to the next level!
We will work with 4 days of coaching out of a 5 day window which will allow us to adapt to the forecast or ideally give a needed rest day/free practice day in the middle of the camp.
Group size is limited to maximum 8 people for 2024
Min level :
Waterstarts, harness, foot-straps , sailing upwind & down wind, either being able to tack or jibe.
Goals:
Improve your jibes, Fast tacks, sailing control, jump control & introduction into Freestyle.
PRICING :
COACHING* : 450 euro
COACHING* + 6 DAYS GEAR RENTAL : 840 euro
*4 days coaching + T-shirt & 1 groups dinner.
PRASONISI CENTER
THE SPOT:
Is divided in 2 spots. The main spot is on the Mediterranean Sea part, the sea is flat and protected from waves with offshore winds. It is ideal for those who love speed, freeride, free racing or freestyle with rescue on side in case of drifting down wind.
The Aegean Sea side of the peninsula is perfect for wave riders & bump and jump fanatics. It makes Prasonisi absolutely unique, as it offers both flat and wave conditions in one place.
NEED A BREAK OR WANT TO RELAX?
At the same beach you will find 2 restaurants, 2 snack bars & 2 shops all within walking distance.
Further more there are places in the shade where you can chill and relax between sessions either next to the restaurants or at the center (sunbeds, hammocks, bean bags).
THE STATION:
The station is equipped with 120 boards and around 200 sails.
Severne Sails, Severne, Starboard and Fanatic / Duotone boards.
All equipment is stored in the special racks very close to the water - every sail / board change takes place at the beach - no need to go back to the office.
The center is open from 10:00 to 18:30 every day.
The 6 day gear rental for 390 euro includes both insurance & rescue..
ACCOMODATION OPTION IN KATTAVIA
For the camp you have the option to stay in the Hotel Prasonisi Club in Kattavia at 12 min driving distance of the beach.
The hotel offers free shuttles to the beach daily between 9:30 - 10:30 & 18:00 - 19:00 .
THE HOTEL
Prasonisi Club provides air-conditioned accommodations in Kattavía. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are accessible at the condo hotel free of charge.
The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available.All units come with a balcony, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and kitchenware, and a private bathroom with shower.
Rooms include a safety deposit box and some rooms are fitted with mountain views. At the condo hotel, units include bed linen and towels.
Costs:
Single Bedroom : 70 euro/night
Double Bedroom: 85 euro/night
HOW TO GET THERE
Rhodes has it's own international airport located in the Northern part of the island at 1,5h drive from Prasonisi with direct flights out of most European major cities.
On arrival you have the option between 2 things.
TRANSFER/TAXI :
Cost for these are roughly 120 - 140 euro each way, so (240 - 280 euro round trip).
In the lead up to the camp we will be opening a WhatsApp group in which people can share there arrival time to potentially share the Taxi ride & costs.
CAR RENTAL:
Like most touristic places there are plenty of car rental places available, if you book in time you can find a 1 weeks rental between 240 - 400 euro which will also give you the freedom for sightseeing on the island on the non windy days.
